Welcome to Hospice of Kankakee
Valley's (HKV) online headquarters! The Mission of
Hospice of Kankakee Valley is to provide compassionate physical, emotional,
spiritual and social support to individuals and families, throughout our
service area, who are living with terminal illnesses. We strive to provide
comprehensive palliative comfort care services, regardless of ability to pay,
in a manner that maintains the dignity and independence of the person and
family.
HKV is located in northeastern Illinois and serves Kankakee County and surrounding areas. You will find
information about our services as well as answers to your questions about hospice care on our
website. We also have plenty of giving opportunities; whether you plan to give financially, give time
as one of our volunteers, or even provide your vocational gifts as one of our
employees.
Memory Garden
HKV is ready to soon begin construction
on our new 'Memory
Garden'. Located
adjacent to the HKV offices in Bourbonnais,
the Memory Garden will serve as a memorial to
friends and loved ones. The focus of the garden will be personalized bricks
that can be purchased to recognize your loved one. When ordering your brick
below, you can specify up to three lines of text per brick (character limits
are listed below). Walkway bricks will be placed on the path leading from our
offices to the gazebo at the end of the garden. 'Seat Wall' bricks will line
the walkway to construct a full-length seat. 'Seat Wall' bricks are only
available until contruction of the wall begins.
Walkway bricks are available until all spaces are filled. Additionaly,
HKV will be hosting a dedication ceremony upon completion of the garden.
