Due to this growth we are adding the following new positions: Public Education Advocate Hospice of Kankakee Valley seeks a full-time Public Education Advocate with proven marketing experience. Responsibilities include assisting in formulation of and implementation of yearly public education plans; public and physician presentations; writing, editing and designing brochures, press releases, other publicity; and planning, organizing and carrying out special events for Hospice of Kankakee Valley, which may include occasional evening and weekend hours for special events. Bachelors degree with marketing education and experience, healthcare experience a plus. Proficient skills in the use of Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent Part time position with potential for full time position
with limited on-call responsibilities.
Charge Nurse – Full Time The toughest job you’ll ever love… Full time, 40 hours per week; Includes limited back-up
on-call hours As a member of the Hospice of Kankakee Valley (HKV)
Inter-disciplinary Team (IDT), the hospice charge nurse supervises the implementation
of the patient service program. The
charge nurse shares with the Patient Care Coordinator the responsibility and
authority for maintaining quality hospice care in accordance with the
agency's objective and policies, through planning, coordinating,
implementing, and evaluating the service. Requirements: BS in Nursing and CHPN preferred, minimum of
one to two years experience as a RN, current IL license, CPR,
community home health or hospice experience preferred, bi-lingual a plus. CNA – Part Time (potential for full time) Provides personal care and homemaking services for
patients in their homes or other residence, under the supervision of a RN.
Mission-focused hospice – Hospice of Kankakee Valley ….where
it’s not just a job, it’s a calling. Requirements: CNA Certificate from a state approved
Nursing Assistant Program, current CPR certification, valid driver’s
license, vehicle with insurance, minimum 2 years nurse assistant experience
and home health/hospice experience strongly preferred. Bilingual a plus.
