Many of our patients’ families and friends often ask how they can honor the memory of a loved one. We offer community memorial services, memorial bricks in our memory garden, and leaves for our Tree of Life Memorial.
SERVICES AND EVENTS
- Candlelight Memorial
The community is welcome to join us at our yearly memorial service which is open to the public as well as to family members of HKV patients. This beautiful service is held each spring. See our calendar page for details.
- Legacy Tree Planting
The community is welcome to join us at our yearly fall memorial service where we plant a tree in honor of those who have passed. This event is open to the public as well as to family members of HKV patients. See our calendar for details.
- Sharing Stories of the Season
The holiday season is a season of sharing stories: stories of traditions, memories, celebrations, and much more. Hospice of Kankakee Valley invites you to share your story and hear the stories of others this holiday season. Take the time to reflect on old and new traditions with your family. See our calendar page for details.
- Tree of Life
We invite you to add a leaf to our Tree of Life in honor of an organization or in memory of a loved one. When you make your contribution, the leaf will be inscribed with the name of your choice and added to the Tree of Life in the Hospice of Kankakee Valley office as a tribute to human compassion. Please call our office at 815-939-4141 for more information.
- Memory Garden
HKV has constructed a Memory Garden behind our office. This garden will honor the memory of those patients and families HKV has served in addition to other community members. Please call our office at 815-939-4141 for more information.
