United Way of Kankakee County has a directory of agencies and an events calendar that may be useful in finding resources for yourself or a loved one. It also explains how community support is helping people locally and nationwide.

Provena St. Mary's Hospital  and Riverside Medical Center are local supporters of Hospice of Kankakee Valley, and can offer information on healthcare options in the Kankakee area.

Our Executive Director is is a past President of the Illinois State Hospice and Palliative Care Organization , which partners with other organizations and veterans’ coalitions to increase quality of care for people living with life-limiting illness. The site can link you to more information, and can help you find a hospice in your area.

www.Kan-i-help.org is a directory of human service organizations in and around Kankakee County, and includes resource information for people with a variety of needs.

The National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization offers national news, a variety of awareness materials, and an online store where you can purchase books, videos, and other educational media. It also features a nationwide Hospice Locator to direct you to a hospice or palliative care center in your area.

The Kankakee River Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Bradley-Bourbonnais Chamber of Commerce support Hospice of Kankakee Valley’s mission by offering fundraising and discounted public education opportunities. HKV is a not-for-profit member of both. These sites offer visitor information, events calendars, and links to area businesses and organizations.

The Kankakee Daily Journal hosts Hospice of Kankakee Valley’s website, and along with other local newspapers including the Bourbonnais Herald/Country Market supports community awareness of HKV services by regularly publishing its news and information.

Options Center for Independent Living provides resources, assistance and advocacy for people who are living with disabilities. Its focus is independence and self-determination. Options assists individuals with all types of disabilities (both physical and mental), and with no income qualification.

The American Cancer Society offers current information on research and events, and can link you to cancer survivor networks in your area.

The Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Illinois Chapter is dedicated to researching the prevention, cure and treatment of Alzheimer's disease and related disorders and to providing support and assistance to patients, their families and caregivers.

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of America offers patient services, disease information, science and research updates, and advocacy for patients and families.

Catholic Charities Diocese of Joliet has assisted HKV in providing services to many people in the Kankakee area and beyond, regardless of their spiritual or religious beliefs.

The Illinois Area Agency on Aging helps families find care for older loved ones, and their web page features an “Eldercare Locator” that lists agencies in your area. The Agency on Aging’s Kankakee Chapter has assisted HKV with outreach to seniors in our area.
